Sometimes cleaning out your own “closet” turns up gems. I’ve been dealing with the last few steps of migrating two established blogs to this new site. I wanted to make sure my previous blog was still listed on Geneabloggers, so I ran Luxembourg through the search function and had a nice surprise.
The blog “The Heritage Huntress” has two posts that might helpful to genealogists focusing on Luxembourg. One offers a guide to reading civil records. Amber discusses the challenges of multiple languages and different kinds of scripts and offers some hints as out how to address both issues. The second post contains transcription and abstraction guides. If you’re looking to record data for civil records, this link will prove useful.
Most of the blog focuses on Amber’s personal research. If you have Luxembourger ancestors, it’s always worth taking a look.
