Tuesday’s Tip: What are the most recent civil registrations I can access?

When was the most recent civi registration for Luxembourg?According to the National Archives of Luxembourg, civil registrations taken after 1923 must be accessed in the local commune. Prior to that, most registrations are accessible on FamilySearch.

In theory, most Luxembourg immigration to the US ended by the 1920s, so while it is unlikely that would will need birth certificates from the commune, you may still want to find the death certificates of older families. Write the local commune for more information.
