Mappy Monday: Historic Maps of Luxembourg

I’ve tried many times to find historic maps of Luxembourg to place where towns once were – and are no longer. There are almost none available online from Luxembourg.

But I just hit pay dirt using a different approach. The Ferraris Maps, created in the 1770s, covered the Netherlands as well as the region that is now Luxembourg. They’ve been georeferenced, but only for the region of Wallonia. With some patience, I’m hoping to connect the pieces and be able to understand Luxembourg’s layout as well. Wish me luck!
