Tuesday’s Tip: Looking for a book on Luxembourg Genealogy not accessible in the US?

One of my biggest frustrations in doing research is not being able to access the family genealogy or history book I need – and it’s a common experience in Luxembourg research, where many of the best reference titles never made it to the US.

So what can you do? You can try the A.L.G.H. (Luxembourgish Association for Genealogy and Heraldry). They’ve been running a library in Luxembourg City since  1984. Their membership fee is 20 euros a year – expect to pay more for look up requests… and ask nicely, since it isn’t part of their standard work. Good luck!
